Google India sends 'could’ve been ...' message to Pakistan after its biggest T20 World Cup defeat against India

As India marched into the Super 8s with a dominant, and the biggest victory over Pakistan on Sunday (February 15), the battle shifted from the cricket pitch to social media. Following 61-run defeat and one-sided result, Google India joined the celebration with a viral jab on social media. The win also keeps India’s perfect record intact with three wins from three matches in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, while Pakistan’s dreams now hang by a thread.“This match could’ve been an email 🤭,” Google India posted, suggesting the contest was so one-sided it didn’t even require a full broadcast. This may also have been a dig at Pakistan’s stand on boycotting the match. Earlier this month, the Pakistan government had posted on X (formerly Twitter)that it would not play the match against India. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) never formally notified the ICC of a forfeit.

Reports also said that ICC confirmed that no emergency board meetings have been scheduled to discuss sanctions. The only “boycott” notice came via a social media post rather than any official documentation or email.

Google India posts multiple posts on India’s win on Pakistan

Not just one, Google India’s X handle shared a string of posts on Pakistan’s defeat and India’s win. “India, me and my +1 are now onto the next one,” the handle said while sharing a post which said, “The adrenaline hasn't left me yet. Translated from Hindi, it means: "It's either a win or a lesson."“Every match is a chance to try hard and learn harder,” Google India posted.Another one said:What is India's winning streak in T20 World Cup matchesIndia currently holds the longest winning streak in T20 World Cup history, having won 10 consecutive matches.
