New Delhi: Google introduced Chromebook over 15 years ago, a laptop that is built for a cloud-first world. Currently, Google is moving from an operating system to an intelligence system; they see an opportunity to rethink laptops again in this generation. Google is now bringing together the best of Android, which comes with the powerful applications on Google Play and a modern OS that is specially designed for intelligence, and ChromeOS, which also comes with the world’s most popular browser.

Google has officially announced Googlebook, the latest category of laptops which are built with Gemini’s helpfulness at its core, designed to work seamlessly with the devices in users’ lives and powered by premium hardware. Google is also sharing a sneak peek into the Googlebook experience and will have a lot more to share later this year.

Googlebooks are the first laptops which are specially designed from the ground up for the Gemini Intelligence, to deliver personal and proactive help when and where users need it. It all starts with the cursor, the first thing users see when user open their laptop. For being the most often used tool on their laptop, it really hasn’t seen much change since the right-click was added. Google is changing that with Magic Pointer on Googlebook, a feature built with the Google DeepMind team, which brings Gemini’s helpfulness right to users’ fingertips, quite literally. Just wiggle the cursor and watch it come alive with Gemini, by offering quick, contextual suggestions every time users point at something on their screen.

Point at the date in an email to set up a meeting, or select two images instantly to visualize them together. Google is also bringing Create Your Widget to Googlebook, which lets users create custom widgets just by prompting. Gemini can search the internet or connect to their Google application like Gmail and Calendar to create one personalized dashboard. Gemini can organize users’ flight and hotel information, restaurant reservations, and even countdown in a single, helpful spot on their desktop, by making their desktop their truly personalized home.

Android tech stack enables them to bring the latest innovations much faster to all users, including now on laptops. It also lets users offer a much better experience when users have multiple devices, which more and more people have nowadays. Googlebook is all about keeping users in the flow, not just on their laptop, but also when users are switching between their laptop and smartphone.

Google is also working with industry-leading partners like Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo to make the first Googlebooks, and they are just as excited as they are about them. Every Googlebook will going to be built with the premium craftsmanship and materials, coming in a variety of shapes and sizes. Users will know it’s a Googlebook by the unique glowbar, a statement that is both functional and beautiful.
