Govt launches ‘Brand Bihar’ for branding, global outreach

Patna: State govt on Wednesday announced the launch of “Brand Bihar,” a state-wide initiative under the chief secretary’s cell to strengthen the state’s identity, improve its public image and position the state as a destination for investment, innovation and opportunity.The initiative has been set up to unify the state’s branding, communication and positioning efforts by highlighting developmental work, institutional reforms, entrepreneurship, innovation, cultural heritage and citizen-led change across Bihar.According to the govt, “Brand Bihar” will work with departments and stakeholders across the state to build a shared narrative around the state’s transformation and present it in a systematic and credible manner on national and global platforms.The programme will focus on evidence-based communication and storytelling to strengthen Bihar’s image and identity. It will also document and showcase ground-level development, governance reforms, departmental achievements and their impact on citizens.A major component of the initiative will be to project the state as an investment-friendly destination by highlighting sector-wise opportunities and improving the visibility of the state among investors and industry.

The govt said the platform would also encourage collaboration among departments, institutions, industries, startups, academic bodies and communities.It will also build AI-based monitoring systems and dashboards to map public sentiment and track perceptions related to Bihar. The initiative will function under the leadership of chief secretary Pratyaya Amrit, who will provide strategic direction.
