GPSC to accept requisition from depts online

Panaji: The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) on Saturday resolved to adopt an online system to accept requisitions from govt departments as well as applications from candidates. This move is intended to improve efficiency, minimise manual errors, and offer a user-friendly interface for both applicants and administrators.GPSC decided implementing, training and handholding of the Direct Recruitment Management System (DRMS) to direct recruitment process into a streamlined, transparent, and easily manageable digital system. The system will enable departments to submit requisition forms online, accompanied by necessary documents. GPSC dealing hand will scrutinise requisition and check discrepancies, if any discrepancies are found requisition may be rejected or returned to department for correction.“If rejected, the particular department has to resubmit requisition after corrections in the submitted form. After acceptance of requisition by GPSC, a unique requisition Id will be created and department will get acknowledgement and requisition in pdf format,” a senior govt officer said. The online system will facilitate configuration of candidate application form as per the requirements in requisition.Apart from standard application form predefined by the commission, GPSC technical staff will configure application form for each requisition on parameters decided by GPSC which would include validity of advertisement, application fees, post based eligibility criteria /checks, information required from candidates in form of questions etc.

“This application form will be available to the candidates as per the validity of the form,” a senior govt officer said. The online system will facilitate candidate registration and profile management for applying to various vacancies published through an online portal.“Candidates will create their profile (predefined by the commission) after successful registration on online application portal towards candidate and e- KYC. This registration should be one time and should generate unique Id. One time registration needs to be paired up with facial authentication before applying for a vacancy. Once a profile is generated by the candidate it is required to be locked,” a senior govt officer said.
