Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim calls Tamil Nadu CM Vijay, congratulates him on assembly win, wishes him strength to lead, says he will visit India in September for the BRICS Summit

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim dialed his friend and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay on Friday, congratulating him once again for massive victory in the assembly elections.
In a post on X, Ibrahim wrote, “Had a conversation and caught up with my friend, CM Vijay, today and once again extended my congratulations on the great responsibility he is shouldering for the people of Tamil Nadu."

Ibrahim also wished Vijay that he would continue to be granted strength and wisdom to head Tamil Nadu. “May CM Vijay continue to be granted strength and wisdom to lead and govern well for the well-being of the people and a perfect future for Tamil Nadu," his post on X read.
He said he had also informed Vijay about his planned visit to India in September for the BRICS Summit and a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “If the opportunity arises, I will make a brief visit to Tamil Nadu," he said.
This is the second time in less than two weeks that Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated Vijay on his victory in the Tamil Nadu elections. Earlier too, Anwar had praised Vijay while highlighting the cultural ties between Malaysia and Tamil Nadu.
