Mumbai witnessed an unforgettable evening of music and nostalgia as legendary Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan returned to the city with his much-anticipated ‘Live Like Never Before’ concert on March 21, 2026, at the NESCO Center. Produced and promoted by EVA Live, the one-night-only showcase marked the maestro’s exclusive India performance during his ongoing global tour, drawing fans from across the city for what proved to be a rare and immersive cultural experience. Conceived as more than just a concert, the evening unfolded as a vibrant celebration of Punjabi heritage. Backed by a dynamic 11-member live band, Gurdas Maan delivered a performance that seamlessly blended music, poetry, and storytelling. The stage, inspired by a traditional Punjabi pind, set the tone for the night—bringing alive the warmth and spirit of rural Punjab.
High-energy folk elements like Bhangra, Giddha, and Gatka added to the spectacle, turning the concert into a full-fledged cultural showcase that held audiences engaged for over two hours. The setlist traced the arc of his illustrious career, with the audience joining in for iconic tracks such as Challa, Apna Punjab Hove, Ki Banu Duniya Da, and Sajna Ve Sajna. Soulful renditions of Peer Tere Jaan Di and Raati Chann Naal Gallan Karkey created poignant moments, while classics like Mamla Garbar Hai, Dil Da Mamla, and Hasdi De Dand Ginda brought waves of nostalgia. The performance also saw the inclusion of newer material from his Sound of Soil phase, along with contemporary reinterpretations, reflecting an artist who continues to evolve while staying rooted in tradition.
Addressing the audience, Gurdas Maan expressed his deep connection with Mumbai, calling the evening particularly special for its scale and energy. “Every time I perform here, I receive immense love. This night was designed to offer something new, something audiences haven’t experienced before,” he shared. Deepak Choudhary, Founder and Managing Director of EVA Live, highlighted the intent behind keeping the concert exclusive.
He noted that hosting a single show added to its rarity and emotional value, making it a truly memorable night for fans. Co-promoted by BBP and supported by partners including Mastercard, Vijay Sales, and Teacher’s Packaged Drinking Water, with Bollywood Music Project as the experience partner, the event stood out as a seamless blend of scale and soul. Coming just ahead of his upcoming ‘Soul of Punjab’ Canada Tour 2026, the Mumbai concert served as a significant bridge between Gurdas Maan’s recent artistic journey and his global trajectory—leaving audiences with an experience that was both deeply nostalgic and refreshingly contemporary.
