Erling Haaland roared back to form in devastating fashion, firing a clinical hat-trick as Manchester City dismantled Liverpool FC 4-0 to storm into the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday.

City delivered a ruthless performance, extending their remarkable FA Cup home record to 18 consecutive wins and reaching the semi-finals for an eighth straight season.

Haaland Back With a Bang

Liverpool started brightly but failed to capitalise. Mohamed Salah squandered a golden chance early on, dragging wide from close range, while Hugo Ekitike also missed promising openings.

City made them pay.

Seven minutes later, Haaland completed his hat-trick, the 28th of his career, smashing home from close range after being teed up by O’Reilly.

Liverpool’s misery was compounded when Salah saw his second-half penalty saved by James Trafford, summing up a dismal afternoon for the visitors.

Pressure Mounts on Slot

The defeat leaves Slot under increasing scrutiny, with City fans chanting “you’re getting sacked in the morning" as Liverpool’s struggles continued.

With just two wins in their last seven matches and sitting fifth in the Premier League, Liverpool now face a crucial trip to PSG in the Champions League.
