Class 12 board examinations ended on April 1
Gurgaon: Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) is preparing to release the Class 12 examination results by the second week of May. This follows the conclusion of board examinations, which began on Feb 25 and ended on April 1.HBSE chairperson Pawan Kumar Sharma said the evaluation of answer sheets will begin shortly. For Class 10, checking will start on April 2 and is expected to conclude by April 24. For Class 12, evaluation will begin on April 3 and continue until April 28.To ensure timely assessment, the board has set up 75 evaluation centres across 22 districts for Class 10, with 6,969 teachers involved. For Class 12, 52 centres have been designated, where 5,009 teachers will evaluate the papers.
On the first day, each sub-examiner will check 15 answer sheets, increasing to 30 per day thereafter. A chief examiner will randomly select and recheck 10% of the answer sheets already graded by sub-examiners.“Class 10 examinations ended on March 20 and the board is working diligently to wrap up all academic formalities,” Sharma said.Evaluation of DElEd (diploma in elementary education) examinations will also be conducted at four centres.
The board said maintaining the integrity of the examination process remains a priority. During recent examinations in subjects such as Punjabi, Sanskrit and Veda Siddhant, three cases of cheating were reported. Action was taken against one supervisor, one clerk and one attendant for negligence during duty.Students have been advised to keep their roll numbers ready and check the official board website for updates on the result date and link.
