‘He's too fragile,’ But is Tua Tagovailoa really done while wife Annah dances through Valentine's night?

Tua Tagovailoa’s football future is getting picked apart on radio hits and studio shows. On Valentine's weekend, his wife, Annah, posted dinner plates and a showgirl cabaret routine to her Instagram story. On Saturday, Feb. 14, the couple stepped out for a date night while the Miami Dolphins quarterback sat in the middle of another round of debates about whether he should even be on the field in 2026.

Annah shared a photo of the dinner menu and a clip of a cabaret-style showgirl performance to her Instagram account, closing out Valentine's Day with sequins instead of snap counts. It is the same feed that has doubled as a season-long support page for the Dolphins quarterback.During the year, she turned Hard Rock Stadium into her backdrop, posting gameday photos with the simple caption “Thursday night lights.” The outfits changed, from a cream tank top and matching baggy pants to a football-shaped purse, but the message stayed the same: she was in the building for him. After Miami’s season ended, she went even further. In a long post recapping his sixth NFL year, Annah wrote, “Watching you finish year 6 has been such a reminder of how much heart you pour into everything you do.

Beyond the game, we’re so thankful for the friendships, the community, and the people who’ve become family along the way. Feeling deeply blessed and beyond proud of you.”The couple, who married in 2022 and now have a daughter and a son, have built a very public family timeline online. It sits in sharp contrast to how loudly some in Miami are now wondering if the team should move on from the former No. 1 quarterback option.

Kim Bokamper and Stephen A. Smith push the ‘too fragile’ narrative as Miami Dolphins weigh Tua Tagovailoa’s next chapter

While Annah was posting Valentine's clips, Dolphins legend Kim Bokamper was doing the opposite of a soft-focus tribute. On WQAM’s “The Joe Rose Show,” the former defensive lineman said flatly, “I just think Tua is shot.” He questioned Tagovailoa’s mobility, ball security, and awareness, and punctuated it with, “I don’t see anything there.”Bokamper is not a random caller. He is on the Dolphins Walk of Fame, usually measured with criticism, and still chose to say on air that he does not think the team should bring Tagovailoa back.

He also pointed to the long arc of concern that has followed the quarterback since his hip injury at Alabama and the rocky stretch under former head coach Brian Flores.

Nationally, Stephen A. Smith has taken the same concern and turned up the volume. On ESPN, in comments later highlighted by Spanish outlet Marca, he warned that Tagovailoa might be “one head injury away” from his NFL career ending. Smith added, “He’s small, he’s afraid of getting hit, and you can’t blame him.

Look at what he’s been through. Look at the concussions... The problem is that he’s too fragile to be an NFL quarterback.

He’s proven that, and it’s prevented Miami from being successful. They’re making the right decision.”Put together, a local legend and a national voice are saying the quiet part out loud about the Dolphins’ $212.4 million quarterback. Reports that Miami is eyeing a “fresh start” in 2027 only tighten the frame around those comments.
