Heavy rainfall alert in 11 Telangana districts including Hyderabad on August 11

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert in 11 Telangana districts, including Hyderabad, for Monday.

According to IMD’s latest bulletin, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhongir, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts. Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur in all 33 districts of the State.

Hyderabad and its surroundings for the next 24 hours will see generally cloudy sky. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with occasional intense spells accompanied with gusty winds is very likely to prevail in the city. Hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30 and 22 respectively,” the bulletin said.
