ETimes verdict
ETimes praised the visual language of the film. Our exclusive review noted, "Visually, the film understands atmosphere. The cinematography and earthy rural setting create an eerie mood, and the background score supports the tension without becoming overwhelming."
It added that several sequences were staged with care, allowing dread to grow naturally. However ETimes also pointed out the film’s shortcomings.
The review stated that Honey loses steam after a promising setup and becomes predictable in parts. It said, "Where the film stumbles is in sustaining its momentum. After a promising setup, the story begins to feel stretched… The second half doesn’t consistently escalate the suspense, and the conclusion lacks the sharpness that the premise initially suggests."Although 'Honey' was not able to create much traction during it's theatrical release, the OTT streaming may improve it's reach among the audiences who love a quirky horror movie.
