Kashmir chief cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in his Friday (April 10, 2026) sermon at historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, said the meaningful and civilised way forward to address the current conflict “lies in serious engagement and dialogue”.

“The most meaningful and civilised way forward lies in serious engagement and dialogue grounded in justice and the redressal of genuine concerns among all parties,” said the Mirwaiz.
