India on Thursday chose to react cautiously after US President Donald Trump, citing a controversial letter on US birthright citizenship, referred to India and China as a “hellhole on the planet.”
Responding to questions about the controversy, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal avoided direct comment, saying, “We’ve seen some reports. That’s where I’ll leave it.”
