Riot Games' upcoming 2XKO is a highly anticipated League of Legends fighting game. Starting September 9, 2025, it is opening its doors for the global Closed Beta. It comes with a chance for players to experience League of Legends brawler early on.
Players who are eager to jump into the action, though, will need to follow some steps to secure Closed Beta access. Here is all you need to know to secure your spot, before it's September 2025 launch.
How to sign up for 2XKO League of Legends closed beta?
To access 2XKO League of Legends closed beta, the players must sign up via official channels. To do so, head to the official game website and locate the Closed Beta registration section. Once found, sign in with your existing Riot Games account credentials.
If you do not have one, create an account. It will take a few seconds and is completely free.
Once you are registered, keep an eye out for emails that are linked to your Riot account, starting from September 8, 2025. The invitations will not go all out at once. Riot Games will gradually be granting players access. Players who participated in the earlier Alpha Lab tests on PC have already been guaranteed entry. They do not need to re-register.
Note: As per reports, the beta access is now limited to some select regions only.
2XKO League of Legends roster and platform to play on
2XKO closed beta will be launching a solid lineup of the 8 champions who are pulled from the lore of League of Legends. Players would find some familiar faces, including Ahri, Yasuo, Darius, Illaoi, Ekko, Jinx, and Braum, who are all set to fight. The new addition, Vi, will be joining the fray with Hextech gauntlets. The character is making its debut in the beta phase.
2XKO Closed Beta Announcement | Dev Update
Initially, the Closed Beta experience will be just PC-exclusive. While the console players enjoyed the previous tests, the larger-scale closed beta test at launch focused solely on the Windows PC. Riot Games confirmed the cross-platform progression though. It means that all the progress that would be made on the PC can now be carried over seamlessly, as the game will eventually arrive on consoles.

The PC exclusive beta access is not just about the online queues.
The players would get hands-on time with the newly introduced Vi character League of Legends during Closed Beta. 2XKO will be showcased by Riot Games at EVO 2025, between August 1, 2025, and August 3, 2025, in Las Vegas. All the attendees could try the game’s demo, including Vi, even before the wide beta release.Do not forget to sign up. It is a vital first step here. Even if you previously played an Alpha Lab session on the console, you would need to use Riot Client on the PC for Beta access.
