Hyderabad attracts investments and talent from across globe: Ponnam Prabhakar

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that as Hyderabad city attracts talent and investment from across the globe, design excellence becomes central to shaping its identity.

Speaking at the 6th edition of IIID Showcase Insider X 2026, he said the IIID Showcase serves as a powerful platform that brings together cutting-edge interior products, emerging technologies and global design trends under one roof.

The inauguration marked the opening of one of India’s largest and most significant platforms for architecture, interior design, innovation, materials and manufacturing.

Organised by the Indian Institute of Interior Designers — Hyderabad Regional Chapter (IIID-HRC), the three-day event has brought together leading minds, brands, innovators and thought leaders who are shaping the future of architecture and interior design.

For architects, interior designers, developers, builders and homeowners alike, this showcase offers invaluable insights into the future of design and construction. Kodad MLA Padmavati Reddy said the exhibition presents a comprehensive vision of where the industry is headed, bringing together the latest products, technologies and design innovations under one roof.

Jignesh Modi, president, Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID) and N. Praveen Kumar, Chairperson, IIID Hyderabad Regional Chapter said the key focus of this year’s edition was the growing strength of Indian design and manufacturing. The exhibition showcases how Indian companies are increasingly delivering globally competitive products, materials, technologies and solutions across furniture, lighting, surfaces, automation, hardware and building systems while strengthening India’s position in the global design ecosystem.
