Hyderabad is set to host seven matches of the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League between April 5 and May 22 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal. Over 2,000 police personnel would be deployed for the cricket tournament.

The stadium, which has a seating capacity of around 39,000, will witness both day and night matches, beginning with the fixture between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants on April 5. Police personnel, including law and order, traffic, security, intelligence, special forces and four fire tenders with firefighting squad, would be deployed to prevent any untoward incidents.
