With the month of Ramzan set to begin, Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar inspected security arrangements at the historic Mecca Masjid near Charminar on Tuesday (February 17).

Accompanied by Charminar MLA Mir Zulfiqar Ali, the Commissioner reviewed the arrangements within the mosque premises and surrounding areas to ensure smooth conduct of month-long prayers. He directed officers to implement stringent security measures so that devotees visiting during Ramzan do not face any inconvenience.

Earlier in the day, the official held a meeting with Muslim religious leaders at Kotwal House in Purani Haveli, where detailed discussions were held on security planning and crowd management for the upcoming festivities.

Senior officers, including Additional Commissioner of Police (CP) Tafseer Iqbal, Joint CP S.M. Vijay Kumar and Charminar Zone DCP Khare Kiran Prabhakar, were present during the inspection and review meetings.
