‘IDEATHON – My Mysuru: Vision 2030’, an initiative of MP for Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, was launched here on Thursday.
The initiative, described as a movement ‘for the people and by the people’, aims to reimagine Mysuru as a smarter, greener, cleaner, and more inclusive city. Citizens are being invited to submit fresh and innovative ideas in key sectors such as infrastructure, sustainability, heritage conservation, e-governance, and youth empowerment.
Entries can be submitted online at http://mymysuru2030.in between August 22 and September 15, 2025. Each entry must include a problem statement, a proposed solution, and an estimated budget, a press release said.
A panel of experts will evaluate the submissions, and the best ideas will be showcased on September 20, in the presence of Mr. Yaduveer, industry representatives, and district officials. Selected ideas will also be considered for implementation in the city, it added.
To encourage participation, winners will be awarded cash prizes. Speaking about the initiative, organisers emphasised that it is not just politics, but people-powered progress: “Where policy meets people and citizens themselves shape the destiny of their city.”
The IDEATHON is part of the national vision ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’. Calling upon students, entrepreneurs, NGOs, and citizens of Mysuru to participate, the organisers said, “Together, let us move from Vision to Action for Mysuru 2030.”
