Trump said any agreement must ensure Iran never obtains nuclear weapons and dismissed the idea of a time-bound limit.

US President Donald Trump
US President Donald Trump warned that fighting with Iran could resume if ongoing peace talks fail, while saying Tehran now appears more willing to reach an agreement than it was two months ago. Trump said Iran was showing greater flexibility during discussions aimed at ending hostilities.
“Iran wants to make a deal, and we’re dealing very nicely with them. We’ve got to have no nuclear weapons. That’s a big factor, and they’re willing to do things today that they weren’t willing to do two months ago," Trump said.
He added that the current negotiations were critical to preventing a return to conflict.
“If there’s no deal, fighting resumes," Trump said, delivering a stark warning as diplomatic efforts continue.
Asked whether a proposed minimum 20-year period for Iran to stop enriching uranium would be acceptable, Trump said any agreement must ensure Iran never obtains nuclear weapons and dismissed the idea of a time-bound limit.
“We have a statement, a very powerful statement, that they will not have- beyond 20 years- that they will not have nuclear weapons. There’s no 20-year limit," he said.
