An IndiGo flight from Bengaluru faced a brief landing scare at Jaipur International Airport on Monday morning after the aircraft aborted its first landing attempt due to an unstable approach.

According to airport sources, IndiGo flight 6E-6483 approached the runway at around 6:30 am.

However, moments before touchdown, the pilot carried out a precautionary go-around after assessing that the approach was not stable enough for a safe landing.

The aircraft remained airborne for a short while before lining up for a second attempt.

The flight subsequently landed safely at 6:43 am, with all passengers disembarking safely.

Airport officials said the decision to go around was taken strictly in line with standard safety procedures.

The incident comes a day after a similar occurrence involving an IndiGo ATR aircraft at Raipur’s Swami Vivekananda Airport.

On Saturday, the aircraft, operating a service from Bhopal, was forced to abort its first landing attempt and execute a go-around before landing safely on the second try.

Following that episode, the airline’s scheduled return flight to Bhopal was cancelled, though officials did not specify the exact reason.

A passenger from the Raipur flight had said the aircraft briefly touched the runway before lifting off again, causing momentary anxiety among those on board. Authorities later confirmed that the situation was handled smoothly and no injuries were reported.

Aviation experts note that go-arounds are a routine safety manoeuvre used when landing conditions are not ideal, and pilots are trained to execute them to ensure passenger safety.
