International Shooter Files Rape Case Against Mental Trainer; Accused Lodges Counter Complaint

Confirming the registration of both cases, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Bahadurgarh, Mayank Mishra said investigations are underway.

An international-level pistol shooter from Haryana has filed an FIR accusing her mental conditioning trainer of rape, blackmail and harassment, while the accused has lodged a counter-complaint alleging abduction, wrongful confinement and other offences against the shooter’s family.

The shooter, a multiple-time medallist at World Championships and World Cups, registered her complaint at a women’s police station in Jhajjar on May 20.

According to police, the accused is a motivational speaker and a registered priest associated with a religious sect. Before the shooter’s complaint was filed, he had lodged a separate FIR at the Asaudha police station, alleging kidnapping, wrongful confinement, acts of unnatural sex and a monetary dispute involving the shooter’s family members and other accused persons.

“Yes, we have received two police complaints, and FIRs have been lodged in both cases. In one case, the girl complainant has alleged rape, blackmail, and mental harassment. The other FIR lodged by the accused at the Asaudha police station alleged kidnapping, wrongful confinement, acts of unnatural sex and some monetary dispute against the girl complainant’s family and other accused. The matter is under investigation, and the police are probing the two cases from all possible angles," Mishra said.
