As India witnesses a surge in professional upskilling, platforms enabling career reinvention are gaining prominence. According to the Global Workplace Skills Study 2025, nearly one in two Indian professionals is currently upskilling, with spending on learning estimated to be 1.5 times higher than the global average.
The study further reveals that 81 per cent of Indian professionals have shown increased interest in advancing their skills over the past year, driven largely by demand for AI, leadership and future-ready competencies. Against this backdrop, Ira Skills, a leading skilling and career transformation platform, hosted its flagship skills convocation, ‘Rebuild Your Life – Ira Skills Convocation’, in January in Mumbai.
The full-day premium event brought together over 140 working professionals from across India, marking a milestone moment for learners who have progressed through the Ira Skills ecosystem. Unlike a conventional certificate ceremony, the convocation was designed as an immersive career transformation experience, helping professionals reassess and rebuild their careers in a rapidly evolving job market shaped by automation and artificial intelligence.
Participants included IT and non-IT professionals, mid-career executives and freelancers—many seeking salary growth, career clarity or a second source of skill-based income. The event featured keynote sessions and expert talks by Akshita Jasolis, Sanjay Kathuria, Gajendra Kothari and Raj Singh, trainers at Ira Skills, who addressed themes such as leadership, wealth mindset, career reinvention and the practical application of Excel and AI-powered tools in real-world professional roles. Addressing the gathering, Deven U Pandey, founder and CEO of Ira Skills, highlighted the shifting priorities of India’s workforce. “Today’s professionals are looking beyond degrees and job titles. They want clarity, execution-ready skills and the confidence to adapt in a rapidly changing workplace. This convocation recognises those who have taken deliberate steps to rebuild their careers,” he said. A key highlight of the event was the recognition of achievers and community leaders who demonstrated tangible progress in their professional journeys.
Several participants shared stories of transitioning into higher-paying roles, building freelance income streams and gaining renewed direction through structured, Hindi-first learning programmes. Founded in 2020, Ira Skills focuses on making professionals job-ready and income-ready through practical, implementation-driven training delivered primarily in Hindi—making high-quality skilling more accessible to India’s workforce.
The platform has trained over five lakh paid learners and holds a 4.8-star Google rating based on more than 55,000 reviews. The premium convocation format underscores a growing aspiration among India’s working professionals to invest in skills that translate directly into career and income outcomes—reflecting a national workforce increasingly committed to lifelong learning, adaptability and outcome-driven skilling.
