Islam Makhachev has made it clear that he wants to be part of the proposed UFC White House card planned for June 14. The reigning UFC welterweight champion said he would gladly accept the chance if the promotion confirms the event.
Speaking to Arena Fight TV, the Russian star explained that the idea feels special because it could be a once-in-a-lifetime moment in MMA history. That single statement has quickly started new conversations about his next fight and what direction the UFC title picture will take.At the same time, questions about his next opponent remain unanswered. Makhachev recently moved up in weight and says he feels better during training camps now.
While several big names are linked to him, nothing is official yet. Still, his latest comments show one thing clearly, he wants to stay active, stay motivated, and be part of history if the opportunity comes.

During his interview with Arena Fight TV, Islam Makhachev said he is enjoying training more since moving to welterweight. He explained that the weight cut is easier and the overall fight week feels smoother. In his words: “Now I start to enjoy my training camp, my cutting weight, fighting week, you know? No problem, if somebody wants, I tell them, I will be ready soon.
Of course, I want to be at the White House, because maybe it is one and only, making the fighting at White House. I want to be in history.”Makhachev also spoke about motivation, saying money is no longer the main reason he competes. He said: “Now, I already make good money which is enough for my family… Still train every day, still hungry, still fighting, still want to be champion.”
As for what comes next, the picture is still open. He became welterweight champion after beating Jack Della Maddalena, but no next challenger has been confirmed. Former champion Kamaru Usman has shown interest. Lightweight champion Ilia Topuria has also been mentioned as a possible rival. Meanwhile, manager Ali Abdelaziz recently said Justin Gaethje could fight for the lightweight title and added that Makhachev’s next fight will likely be against a true welterweight competitor.For now, Makhachev’s message is simple, he is ready for whoever the UFC chooses, especially if that moment happens on the White House card.
