Bengaluru ISRO facility receives bomb threat
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) today received a hoax e-mail about a possible bomb being placed in its New BEL road facility, sources told CNN-News18. The premises was evacuated following the threat.
Police sources have said that the e-mail appears to be a part of a hoax campaign. Such e-mails were also sent to Karnataka High Court and several schools in Bengaluru lately.
The entire facility is being searched following the evacuation keeping in mind the seriousness of the threat. Bomb squads have been deployed at the premises.
Nothing serious has been found so far, police sources said. They also informed that a search operation is underway.
