IT employees’ forum donates ₹28 lakh to CMDRF

Prathidhwani, a welfare organisation of information technology (IT) employees, contributed ₹28,66,918 to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) for the rehabilitation of the landslides-hit communities at Chooralmala and Mundakkai in Wayanad district. The relief fund was handed over to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at his office by Prathidhwani State convener Rajeev Krishnan this week. Minister for Local Self-Governments and Excise M.B. Rajesh; Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes O.R. Kelu; Minister for Revenue K. Rajan, Minister for Electricity K. Krishnankutty; and other officials were present. Prathidhwani’s units in Technopark; Infopark, Kochi; and Cyberpark, Kozhikode; collected the contributions from 1,156 techies. The amount is intended for building one house (₹20 lakh) and other facilities in the township project (₹8.67 lakh) for the communities devastated by the landslides.
