MLC Panchumarthi Anuradha on Monday said that the alleged conspiracies of Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy against the people on the Amaravati issue would no longer succeed, as the A.P. Reorganisation Amendment Bill, 2026 has been passed in Parliament. She said the YSR Congress Party had failed to abandon what she termed its deceptive politics even after the setback it faced in the 2024 elections.
Addressing the media at the TDP central office near Mangalagiri, Ms. Anuradha alleged that Mr. Jagan was continuing a campaign against Amaravati through party leaders such as Y. V. Subba Reddy and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. She said Minister Nara Lokesh had countered their claims by presenting video evidence.
She criticised what she described as the YSRCP’s double standards on the capital issue, stating that the party continued its criticism of Amaravati even as the Amendment Bill was being passed. Referring to Mr. Jagan’s remarks that development in Amaravati amounted to “looting”, she termed the statement baseless and said it reflected a lack of understanding of the distinction between development and misappropriation.
Ms. Anuradha alleged that irregularities in the execution of the Polavaram project and exploitation of natural resources were instances of actual wrongdoing. She urged Mr. Jagan to refrain from making what she described as misleading statements on issues concerning the State, particularly Amaravati. She added that the people had recognised his intentions and expressed confidence in the TDP, Jana Sena Party and BJP alliance to pursue development along with welfare.
