Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president and former MLA T. Jayaprakash (Jagga Reddy) has urged voters to ensure the Congress party candidates’ victory in all 38 municipal wards in Sangareddy Municipality in the forthcoming Municipal Polls 2026, assuring that the State government will allocate ₹300 crore for the development of Sangareddy.
During an interaction with about 15000 people as part of the ongoing election campaign in the district on Saturday (February 7, 2026), Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy announced that he would discuss development plans with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and ensure that each ward receives ₹8 crore, making up over ₹300 crore package for the Municipality.
He assured the residents that even though he is not currently an MLA, he would personally monitor and facilitate development works across all divisions if the Congress wins the wards.
Recalling long-pending issues from the past decade, Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy highlighted that 5,500 people were issued plot certificates in 2013 but did not receive final allotments during the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) tenure.
He vowed that the current Congress government would distribute 80-yard house plots to the new applicants, adding that he had already discussed the matter with the Chief Minister and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.
Reaffirming the Congress government’s welfare commitments, the former MLA said all flagship schemes are being implemented by the Revanth Reddy government based on the suggestions of Congress senior leader Rahul Gandhi.
Responding to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and BRS complaints to the Election Commission, particularly regarding his recent financial assistance of ₹1 lakh to a woman in Sadasivapet, he dismissed them as politically motivated, describing himself as a Kamadhenu that fulfills wishes.
