NEW DELHI: ICC chairman Jay Shah and Google CEO Sundar Pichai were in attendance for the Super 8 match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup between India and South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Pichai was also present on the field during the pre-match proceedings.In the game, David Miller scored 63 off 35 balls, while Jasprit Bumrah produced key spells at the start and end to restrict South Africa to 187 for seven.Miller, nearing 37, received support from Dewald Brevis, who made 45 off 29 balls. Earlier, Bumrah (3/15 in 4 overs) and Arshdeep Singh (2/28 in 4 overs) had reduced South Africa to 20 for 3 inside four overs.Bumrah took two wickets in his first two overs for seven runs and added another later, conceding eight runs across the 17th and 19th overs.
He bowled 12 dot balls.After losing three wickets early, Miller and Brevis counter-attacked and added 97 runs in 8.2 overs for South Africa. They targeted spin, scoring freely against Varun Chakravarthy (1/47 in 4 overs).The pair hit six sixes between them, three each, before both were dismissed.Tristan Stubbs then pushed South Africa past 185, finishing unbeaten on 44 off 24 balls with two sixes off the final two deliveries bowled by Hardik Pandya.India were 57 for 5 in ten overs while chasing the target.FOLLOW LIVE UPDATES
