John Terry had a fun trip in the French Alps, but one moment quickly turned into something he will not forget. The former Chelsea captain shared a video of himself falling at the end of a ski run after a long day of drinking with friends.

He laughed it off, but the clip caught a lot of attention online. The 45-year-old was in Courchevel with close friends and family. He was seen holding a St George’s flag and enjoying the sunny weather. But things went wrong at the bottom of the slope, where he lost control and fell. Terry later admitted it was probably not the best idea after drinking all day.

John Terry posted the video on his Instagram story and was honest about what happened.

He wrote, “Not the best idea to drink all day then smash three tequilas being skiing down. Watch till the end.” In the clip, he can be seen skiing confidently at first, even turning around and celebrating with the flag in hand. But as he reached the finish, he lost balance and fell forward. Instead of getting upset, he laughed, stood up slowly, and carried on. Earlier in the day, he had also posted photos with the flag and drinks, joking, “Sorry guys I owe you an England flag.”

The trip itself was filled with big moments. Terry spent time with former footballers like Steve Sidwell and Bobby Zamora. His wife Toni was also there, along with other friends. He even met Brazilian football icon Ronaldo during the holiday.Away from the slopes, Terry has been focused on coaching. He is currently working with Chelsea’s youth setup at Cobham. But earlier this year, he spoke openly about feeling left out when Chelsea made changes to their coaching staff. He said, “Not annoyed, probably more frustrated. Because I was certainly part of that Under-21s group that went over.” He added, “So even if I didn’t take the team, Calum took the team, did really well, got a result out of the game, I feel like I should have been part of that.”Chelsea had turned to Calum McFarlane instead, who managed the team in a tough match against Manchester City. Terry accepted the decision but admitted he did not fully understand it. He said, “Clearly the ownership, or whoever made those decisions – the sporting directors have gone ‘no’ not to include me, for whatever reason. I don’t know why.” The ski fall may have been embarrassing, but Terry handled it with humor, just like he did during his playing days.
