Jose Mourinho is reportedly “99.9% certain” to return to Real Madrid, according to Marca, as mounting dressing-room chaos pushes the club into crisis mode.

Jose Mourinho’s sensational return to Real Madrid is now reportedly just a matter of time.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, the Portuguese manager is “99.9% certain" to become Real Madrid’s next head coach as the club desperately searches for stability amid growing internal chaos at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The dramatic development comes after yet another turbulent week behind the scenes at Madrid, with reports of dressing-room tensions, player clashes and mounting frustration inside the squad.

Mourinho Emerges As Perez’s Last Big Move

According to the report, Mourinho has now pulled decisively ahead of other managerial candidates such as Mauricio Pochettino and Didier Deschamps.

The feeling inside Madrid is that the Portuguese coach’s authority, personality and history with the club make him uniquely suited to restoring order.

Recent incidents — including reported tensions between Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde, alongside Mbappe’s outburst — have reportedly convinced club president Florentino Perez that Madrid need a strong disciplinarian rather than another tactical project.

And Mourinho himself has done little to quiet the noise.

“Regarding my personal situation, I don’t think there’s any reason for concern," Mourinho recently said while speaking at Benfica.

“No one should ever worry about whether someone stays or leaves because Benfica is bigger than everyone."

Mourinho previously managed Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, winning La Liga, the Copa del Rey and famously ending Pep Guardiola’s dominance in Spain with a record-breaking 100-point league campaign.

Perez even appeared to hint at his admiration for Mourinho during his recent explosive press conference.

“He was already here and raised our level," the Madrid president said when discussing the Portuguese coach.

Reports suggest Madrid are already working on the timing of Mourinho’s unveiling, with only final formalities, including a reported release clause at Benfica, left to resolve.

If the move is completed, Mourinho would become Real Madrid’s fourth manager in barely a year.
