We will see. This medal is for me everything I wanted, what I worked so hard for.”Leerdam continued, “I got the Olympic gold and a silver, so that’s all I need. I was already so happy after that gold, a lot of nerves fell off of me after that one. I had to recharge for the 500m. I really hoped for the silver medal and I did it. I’m very happy with this one.”Leerdam then praised her Femke, “This is amazing. Femke is super dominant in the 500m.

For me, it wasn’t the perfect race, but it was enough for silver, so I’m really grateful for that. It’s definitely complete now. It’s all I wanted and I did it.”“After winning gold in the 1000m, I already felt complete and accomplished, but then to add a silver medal is super nice. I’m very happy with that.”Paul had flown in to support her and later praised her publicly, writing, “She's so amazing, wow. Another medal, you inspire us all, Jutta Leerdam.”Their relationship began after exchanging messages on Instagram in 2023. Since then, he has appeared at several of her races, offering support from the stands.
