The recitation of the Bhairav Ashtakam or Bhairav Chalisa and mantras like "Om Kaal Bhairavaya Namah" are essential components of the worship.5. Many follow a rigorous fast, breaking it after evening prayers.5. Feeding black dogs is the act of service one can do to appease Lord Bhairav.6. During this period, one should do Rudrabhishek to the Shivalingam.
