Kalyan Banerjee gives ultimatum to Mamata Banerjee, says choose us or Abhishek

Amid deepening crisis within the Trinamool Congress, now senior MP and veteran advocate Kalyan Banerjee gave an ultimatum to party chief Mamata Banerjee stating "choose us or Abhishek Banerjee".  The veteran leader expressed dissatisfaction with the party's national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, accusing him of arrogance and blaming his leadership style for the party's current downfall. The rift escalated after the senior parliamentarian was removed as the legal counsel for the general secretary in a case involving a state investigative agency notice at the high court. He revealed feeling humiliated when a junior lawyer was assigned the case late at night without prior intimation.
