Kanaka Durga temple to host Vasantha Navaratri Utsavams from March 25 to 28

Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam has announced a series of religious programmes as part of the Vasantha Navaratri Utsavams from March 25 to March 28, 2026, atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada on Tuesday (March 24).

According to temple authorities, special ‘Pushparchanas’ will be conducted daily at 9 a.m. with different varieties of flowers till March 27. The rituals will culminate on March 28 with ‘Poornahuti’ and the conclusion of the festivities. 

On March 26, coinciding with Chaitra Shuddha Ashtami, special Abhishekam and Nagavalli Dalarchana will be performed for Lord Anjaneya at multiple locations in the temple precincts. The highlight of the celebrations will be the Sri Sitarama Kalyanam to be held at 10 a.m. on March 27 (Sri Rama Navami) at the Kalavedika. On March 28, the festivities will conclude with the ‘Pattabhishekam’ of Lord Rama following ‘Poornahuti’.

Temple officials stated that devotees can participate in the special ‘Pushparchana’ seva by purchasing tickets priced at ₹2,500 per couple. The seva includes prasadam such as sacred cloth, Sri Chakra Peetham, and laddus, along with Antaralaya darshan.

Tickets can be booked through the official temple website or at Arjitha Seva counters. The Devasthanam has invited devotees to participate in large numbers and seek the blessings of the presiding deity during the auspicious occasion.
