Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday highlighted the Punjab government’s welfare initiatives, including free electricity and health insurance coverage of up to Rs 10 lakh, while addressing a roadshow in Mohali following the party’s victory in the Municipal Corporation elections.

Addressing supporters alongside Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Kejriwal said the AAP government had implemented several measures over the past four-and-a-half years aimed at improving public services and reducing household expenses.

Listing the government’s initiatives, he said Punjab residents were receiving free electricity, healthcare services through Aam Aadmi Clinics and health insurance coverage worth Rs 10 lakh.

Kejriwal also said women in the state would soon begin receiving monthly financial assistance under the government’s proposed scheme.

“In the last four years, the Aam Aadmi Party has done so much for you. Electricity has been made free. Aam Aadmi Clinics have been established. Health insurance cover worth Rs 10 lakh has been provided. Women will now start receiving Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,500 in their bank accounts. Roads are being built across Punjab and farmers are receiving electricity during the daytime," he said.

The AAP leader thanked voters for the party’s performance in the Municipal Corporation elections and described the result as an endorsement of the state government’s work.

Kejriwal said the government still had several projects and welfare initiatives to complete and urged supporters to continue backing the party in future elections.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also addressed the gathering, thanking residents for their support and describing the public response to the roadshow as encouraging.

He said the government’s focus remained on delivering public welfare schemes and development projects across the state.

The roadshow drew large crowds in Mohali, with party workers and supporters gathering along the route to welcome the leaders. Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia and other party leaders were also present.
