The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has decided to impose load restriction between 6 p.m. and midnight in critical situations.

The restriction is intended to maintain grid stability and would be for duration of less than 30 minutes, the power utility said after a review of the power situation chaired by Additional Chief Secretary (Power) Puneet Kumar in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday (April 28, 2026).
