New details emerging from the Pune murder case paint a chilling picture of the alleged plot behind Ketan Agarwal’s death at Lohagad Fort — including a confession that allegedly left investigators stunned. Accused Siya Goyal, who allegedly pushed Ketan off the fort along with boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary, reportedly told police she never liked Ketan and found it easier to kill him than to break off the engagement.

Police sources say Siya claimed during questioning that Ketan wore a wig, she disliked his appearance, and that he had a stutter. When investigators pressed her on why she didn’t simply refuse the match, she allegedly said she did not want to hurt her family — and so chose murder over calling off the wedding.

Ketan’s father Vishal Agarwal has pushed back on the claims, saying his son had only a small hair patch, that Siya’s family had been informed about it before the engagement, and that “a wig cannot be a reason to kill someone."

Who Is Chetan Chaudhary?

The co-accused is from Palasni village in the Bilara area of Jodhpur district, Rajasthan. His father Babulal Sirvi has run a grocery store in Pune with his brothers for several years, and Chetan moved there during the Covid pandemic to help with the family business. He is the only brother to four sisters.

Did The Two Travel Together Before The Murder?

Sources close to the investigation claim Chetan took Siya to Jodhpur in December 2025, where the two spent two days at a five-star hotel and visited several landmarks including Mehrangarh Fort.

In May 2026, Siya allegedly took Chetan to Udaipur — the city where her November wedding with Ketan was scheduled — and the two reportedly visited the hotel where the wedding reception was to be held.

When Did Siya’s Family Find Out?

The relationship came to light within Siya’s family during a cricket tournament in January, investigators have found. Police suspect that the significant financial gap between the two families led Siya’s parents to push for her marriage to Ketan, who came from a business family.

Siya’s brother Sahil Goyal has also been questioned at length, with investigators trying to establish whether he knew about the relationship and whether he informed other family members.
