Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn Davis has made it clear that he would step into the ring with Jake Paul if the opportunity comes. During a live stream at the Brand Risk 013 boxing event hosted by streamer Adin Ross in Miami, Davis was asked a simple question: would he ever fight Jake Paul? His answer came quickly and confidently.“Hell yeah, I’ll fight Jake Paul,” Davis said during the stream. He also explained that he once watched Paul spar with Shakur Stevenson, which gave him a closer look at the YouTuber turned boxer. “You know I was there when Shakur sparred Jake Paul… Yeah, I was there,” Davis told Ross. That sparring session happened in October last year when Paul was preparing for a possible fight with Gervonta Davis. According to reports from boxing media and discussions shared later by Stevenson, the spar showed that Paul was taking boxing seriously even though he entered the sport from social media.

While talking on the stream, Davis shared his honest thoughts about what he saw during that sparring session. Even though Paul was clearly facing someone much more experienced, Davis said he respected the effort.“Jake Paul is serious about this,” Davis said. “I am not going to lie. There are levels, of course, but just watching Jake Paul and how serious he was trying to hit Shakur when he really could not, I respected it.”

Stevenson also spoke positively about Paul’s dedication after that sparring session. The lightweight champion said Paul showed decent boxing ability for someone who started the sport after becoming famous on YouTube. The fight Paul was training for at the time never happened. The planned bout with Gervonta Davis was canceled before it could take place.Meanwhile, Davis has been trying to land bigger fights in the boxing world.

Recently he has been calling out Devin Haney, but talks about that matchup have not moved forward yet.Davis has also avoided a fight with Stevenson. The two fighters are close friends and often describe each other as brothers. Because of that relationship, Davis has said many times that he does not want to face Stevenson in the ring.Another name connected to Davis is Andy Cruz. Their rivalry goes back to their amateur days.

Cruz defeated Davis four times, including the gold medal fight at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Davis later claimed he offered Cruz a professional fight, but Cruz denied receiving any offer.Away from those discussions, Davis recently appeared in a live sparring session with influencer boxer Deen The Great. The spar happened during a stream in Los Angeles. Davis controlled the session easily and landed clean punches while clearly holding back his full power. At one point, Deen tried unusual moves, including attempting a takedown. Davis calmly handled the situation and kept control. Soon after, Deen decided to stop the sparring session. For now, a fight between Davis and Jake Paul has not been announced. Still, Davis has made one thing clear: if the opportunity appears, he is ready to step into the ring.
