Koderma Murder: Husband's Uncle & Aunt Arrested for Revenge Killing Over Illicit Relationship

Koderma: Two days after Neha Raj was found with her throat slit at her home in Mitco Colony, Bhandarwa, on May 14, her husband Shambhu Rana’s uncle Rohit Rana and aunt Devanti Rana have been arrested, police said.Investigators on Saturday called it revenge killing over an illicit relationship.SP Kumar Shivashish said, “CCTV footage showed Rohit and Devanti going towards Neha’s house on a motorcycle on the day of the murder. During interrogation, Rohit allegedly confessed that he was enraged after learning about the relationship between his wife and Shambhu, which reportedly began during a trip to Mumbai a few months ago.”Rohit went to Shambhu’s house with Devanti, who joined the conspiracy in an attempt to win back her husband’s trust. Rohit strangled Neha with a scarf and, finding she was still alive, slit her throat with a kitchen knife. Devanti kept watch outside the house, police said.“The motorcycle, a knife, two mobile phones, and the clothes worn during the incident have been seized,” the SP added.Meanwhile, Shambhu was also arrested after Devanti accused him of rape in her statement to police.Neha married Shambhu in an inter-caste marriage eight years ago.
