Kolkata Police Marks World Elder Abuse Awareness Day with Outreach Programme for Senior Citizens

Marking World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15, the Community Policing Wing of Kolkata Police organised an awareness programme for nearly 300 members of Pronam at the Bodyguard Lines Auditorium.

The event was attended by Additional Commissioner of Police (III) Santosh Pandey, IPS, senior officers of Kolkata Police and eminent speakers, and focused on sensitising senior citizens about elder abuse while promoting their safety and well-being. Officers from the Bank Fraud and Cyber Police Station of the Detective Department also conducted a session on cyber safety and fraud prevention. The programme underscored Kolkata Police's continued commitment to ensuring the dignity, security and welfare of senior citizens.
