Initially scheduled to begin earlier, the application window will now open on September 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM, giving candidates extra time to prepare their documents.

The KEA has assured that all technical glitches have been resolved and that the portal will function smoothly once live. Aspiring candidates for the Assistant Professor post in Karnataka universities and colleges must complete their registration by September 18, 2025, and submit the fee by September 19, 2025. The KSET exam is scheduled for November 2, 2025, as per the official notification on the KEA website.

Revised KSET 2025 registration dates

According to the KEA’s official notice, the KSET registration will now start on September 1 and continue until September 18.

Candidates will be able to make the application fee payment until September 19, 2025. The KEA clarified that the delay was caused by unavoidable technical reasons, and the new schedule ensures enough time for candidates to apply without hassle.

Candidates must register through the official KEA KSET portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. The application form will be available under the KSET 2025 section.The KSET exam is mandatory for candidates seeking eligibility for Assistant Professor positions in Karnataka’s universities and colleges.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). The exam will have two papers—Paper I (general teaching and research aptitude) and Paper II (subject-specific).
