The district KSRTC Budget Tourism Cell is all set to launch a series of special pilgrimage tour packages starting July 17, catering to devotees during the auspicious Malayalam month of Karkidakam.
The curated itineraries include Nalambala Yatras (pilgrimages to four specific temples dedicated to Lord Rama and his brothers), Pancha Pandava Temple darshan featuring traditional Aranmula Vallasadhya, and trips to the shrines of Guruvayur and Mookambika.
Notably, the Piravom Nalambalam temples in Ernakulam district have also been integrated into this year’s travel chart to accommodate more devotees. For those looking to visit the Nalambalam shrines in Kannur district, special services will be operated from the Kottarakara and Kollam depots.
Meanwhile, pilgrimage trips to the prominent Thrissur Nalambalams—comprising the Triprayar Sree Rama Temple, Koodalmanikyam Bharata Temple, Moozhikkulam Lakshmana Temple, and Payammal Shatrughna Temple—will commence from nine different KSRTC depots across the district. These journeys in Thrissur are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., with a return scheduled by the evening the following day.
Devotees opting for the Ernakulam Nalambalam circuit will visit the Mamalassery Sree Rama Temple, Mulakulam Lakshmana Temple, Memmury Bharata Temple, and Nedungottu Shatrughna Temple.
In addition to the Karkidakam packages, the highly anticipated Pancha Pandava Temple Darshan—which includes the famous Aranmula Vallasadhya—is scheduled to run from July 18 through September 16. The district coordinator said that according to the itinerary, the tour group will reach Aranmula by noon, where they will be served the grand feast by the Aranmula Palliyoda Seva Sangham, with the cost of the Vallasadhya included in the travel fare.
