Learner Tien’s Wimbledon journey came to an end after he lost 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 6-3 to Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics in the second round.

The match was played on Court 12 and lasted more than three hours. Although Tien fought hard, he appeared to struggle with his fitness for much of the contest.

The American youngster first caught attention during one of the changeovers when television cameras showed him eating pieces of bread from a loaf. The picture showed him lying in a hospital bed with an IV drip attached to his arm. In one hand, he held a McDonald’s burger, while a large fast-food order sat on a table beside him.The meal reportedly included three double cheeseburgers, one Mayo Chicken burger, two 20-piece Chicken McNuggets boxes, large fries and a McFlurry.

The order was estimated to contain around 4,500 calories.
