The level crossing on KRS road in Mysuru will be closed for three days from July 7 for the track renewal work.
According to a statement from South Western Railway’s Mysuru division, the level crossing No. 5 (KRS Road Gate) between Mysuru and Belagola stations will be taken up for urgent maintenance activities, including sleepers and rail renewal with Plasser Quick Relaying System for the safety of trains.
“For this purpose, the above said level crossing will be kept closed for road traffic for three days from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from July 7 to July 9,” the statement said.
During this period, the road traffic will be diverted via the road underbridge at the Outer Ring Road near GRS Fantasy Park and level crossing at No. 7 near Preethi Granite factory road at Metagalli.
