Honkai: Nexus Anima from HoYoverse introduces an expansive set of characters who personify legendary strength as well as relatable human feelings. From the mighty Sovereigns and the dreamers from the land of Iia, the characters are already fascinating.
Here's a detailed list of the characters we've seen so far.
The Novarchs and The Sovereigns: Lords of the Domains
- Victus: The first Sovereign and current Novarch of Order. A tall, blond figure who has defeated the World-Ender multiple times, Victus represents the dominance over Order and Chaos.
- Amstradath: An oni-like figure wearing a horned mask. While he controls Life and Death, the rest of his role as a Novarch is shrouded in mystery.
- Armand: The ex-Sovereign of Light and Dark who’s now the Novarch of the Dark. While trying to get rid of the Sunbane Curse, he tries to lock away his Light counterpart, too.
- Kumyo Kyo: Darsea's elder brother and Master of Reality and Illusion. He once sealed the World-Ender and continuously balances mystery and duty.
- Prabhas: Novarch of Light, a Sunfire Monk with golden apparel and copper hair, is currently detained by Armand.
- Apeiron: A thin figure with a half black and half white hairstyle. Once presumed dead, she is now revealed to be the embodiment of Infinity and Finity.
- Parayaya: Formerly the Sovereign of Love and Hate, now the Novarch of Hate. A pink-haired fighter who was abandoned by the World Ender and is now hunting for a grudge.
- Blade: A recognizable character from Honkai: Star Rail. In Nexus Anima, he assumes the role of the Novarch of "The Peak" and is on the lookout for a missing Sovereign.
- Sir Champion: The former Sovereign of Competition and Cooperation. Now the Novarch of Competition, he manages The Amphitheater, eternally concealed under a suit of armor.

The Human Side of Nexus Anima
- Nanafey: A blue-haired girl with a bubbly demeanor who extends kindness and shelter to players. She is regarded as Iia’s treasure.
- Hua: An animaster in training with a fiery temper, spiky hair, and headphones. He’s determined to pass The Amphitheater’s qualifiers.
- Cassio Rollex: Deputy arena master with cowboy flare. Known for talking big about his battles with his boss, most of the time it’s just to fill the silence.
- Maple Manybell: Pink-dress eccentric. Strange ideas. Unaware of the pink dress heroine's beach deck, she is the deputy arena master.
- Kiana: A traveler with silver braids, and a fur-braided silver traveller, like the wanderers from the other HoYoverse games, Kiana, travels from one plane to another with a cute companion.
