Television actor Dheeraj Dhoopar has entered Lock Upp, becoming one of the latest contestants to join the reality show. His entry also introduced a new twist, with contestants asked to choose their preferred partners at the very beginning of the game.Dheeraj selected fellow contestant Ram Kapoor as his first preference. Despite multiple contestants expressing interest in partnering with Ram, the actor chose Dheeraj, making them one of the first pairs in the house.Apart from his entry into the show, Dheeraj also addressed the frequent comparisons between him and Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. Over the years, some viewers have pointed out similarities in his expressions and mannerisms, while others have criticised him for allegedly trying to emulate the superstar.Responding to the comparisons, Dheeraj said he sees them as a compliment rather than criticism. Calling Shah Rukh Khan “the best,” he said he has always admired the actor and does not mind being compared to him.Addressing those who label him arrogant for accepting the comparison, Dheeraj clarified that there is no ego involved. He said he simply appreciates the admiration behind such remarks and prefers to let his work and conduct speak for themselves.

He also described himself as grounded, hardworking and friendly.
