French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in India for a multi-day visit focused on strengthening bilateral ties, attending the AI Impact Summit and holding key engagements with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Macron’s visit, which includes stops in Mumbai and New Delhi, marks his fourth trip to India and his first official visit to the country’s financial capital.
“President Emmanuel Macron will be on an official visit to India from 17-19 February 2026 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the AI Impact Summit hosted by India, as well as hold a bilateral summit with the Prime Minister in Mumbai," according to a press statement issued by the government.
Here’s What Macron’s Visit To India Entails
February 17: Bilateral Talks With PM Modi, Innovation Events
On February 17, Macron will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Modi at Lok Bhavan in Mumbai at 3:15 pm, where both leaders are expected to review the progress of the India-France strategic partnership and discuss regional and global issues. This will be followed by the exchange of Memoranda of Understanding and a joint press statement at Raj Bhavan. Later in the evening, Macron will attend the India-France Innovation Forum at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. He will also participate in the India-France Year of Innovation and Cultural Commemoration event at the Gateway of India.

February 18: Travel To New Delhi, Summit Engagements
Macron will arrive in New Delhi on February 18 and head to Bharat Mandapam, where he will participate in events related to the AI Impact Summit hosted by India.
February 19: AI Summit, Departure For Paris
On February 19, Macron will attend the summit’s opening ceremony, join other global leaders for plenary discussions and a working lunch, and visit country pavilions. Following the conclusion of his engagements, he will depart for Paris later that afternoon.
