Maharashtra Teen Raped By School Bus Driver In A Field; Accused Arrested

The accused had been ferrying the school students in Maharashtra's Jalna for the past 5 to 7 years.

In a shocking incident reported in Maharashtra’s Jalna, a school minibus driver allegedly raped a 15-and-a-half-year-old minor schoolgirl. As per the police, the 32-year-old accused took the teen to a secluded spot and raped her. The incident caused panic in the area and the police have arrested the accused.

As per a report by India Today, the accused was trusted by the parents as he had been ferrying the school students for the past 5 to 7 years.

The accused, identified as Bharat Bhimrao Magre, is from Kodoli village in Bhokardan tehsil. As per the report, the incident took place on February 2 when the accused picked the children from Kodoli village to drop them off at school. However, he dropped all children but stopped the victim and took her to the Nanja Shivar area. There, he raped her in a field.

As the horrific incident came forth, the victim’s mother lodged a police complaint and a case was registered under the rape sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Soon after, the police arrested the accused and produced him in the Jalna District Court, where the court remanded him to police custody until February 7, 2026.
