Man arrested for sexually abusing his two-year-old daughter in Namakkal district

NAMAKKAL: The Namakkal district police on Monday arrested a man on charges sexually abusing his two-year-old daughter.The incident happened on Sunday night when his wife was away at work.

The woman returned home on Monday morning and found injuries in her daughter’s private parts and on her face. Inquiries revealed that her husband had sexually abused their daughter.Based on a complaint filed by the woman, the Kumarapalayam all-women police conducted inquiries and registered a case against the man under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.The child was given first aid in an Erode hospital and then taken to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital.
