Man arrested for sexually assaulting minor niece

Kasaragod: Rajapuram police arrested a 25-year-old man on charges of sexually assaulting his 13-year-old niece. The accused, who works as a home stay executive in Munnar, was charged under sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and remanded to judicial custody.The police said the survivor, a Class VIII student, revealed her ordeal during a counselling session at her school. Following it, the school authorities alerted the police, and a case was registered against the man.As per the complaint, the accused brought the minor girl to a home stay within the Rajapuram police limits in May and sexually assaulted her twice.
